Scholarship Criteria
The Foundation is proud to announce a scholarship of $20,000 dollars per year for the 2024-25 school year. The North Star Scholarship aims to incentivize the opportunity for higher education and preparation for Latin American women in business and education. The applicant must have the following qualifications to apply for a scholarship: To be a person of the female gender, between the age of 25 and 34 years, either accepted to or currently undertaking a Master's degree program in the area of education at an accredited college or university in the United States or England. She must have undertaken at least one level of pre-university education in a US Accredited school in Mexico.
Applications will be accepted through July 15th, 2024, with the Scholarship Committee communicating its decision by July 19th. Applicants must submit a detailed description of their reasons for applying to the scholarship, including their future plans once their Master’s program is concluded. Please provide proof of acceptance or enrollment to said University. Submission of your application based on the published criteria must be sent to contact@edfoundamericas.org.
Selection Criteria
Once candidates have applied, the EFAI scholarship selection committee will take into consideration the following factors:

Scholastic ability

Evidence of leadership and involvement

Service to community and school

Outstanding character
-
Participation in extracurricular activities
Any one or a combination of the following may be required:

Personal interview.

Letter(s) of reference.

Character evaluation form.

Student essay.
